Project Overview
Built at Junction 2025 (Helsinki), ChargeID introduces a universal, intelligent EV charging assistant powered by AI-driven negotiation and decentralized identity. Drivers, vehicles, and chargers authenticate through Solana DIDs, while a Meta Llama 3.1 optimization engine negotiates the best charging plan based on speed, cost, distance, and grid conditions. The result is a seamless, transparent, cross-provider charging experience.
Challenges
- •Designing a unified charging experience that works across dozens of incompatible charging providers and standards
- •Integrating Solana-based decentralized identity for drivers, vehicles, and chargers
- •Building an AI negotiation engine capable of optimizing cost, time, and energy needs
- •Creating a polished multi-screen mobile UX using Figma Make within hackathon time constraints
- •Simulating real EV charging API interactions and negotiation logic for demo reliability
Key Achievements
- •Delivered a complete end-to-end smart charging prototype in 48 hours
- •Implemented AI-driven negotiation using Meta Llama 3.1 8B Instruct for optimization
- •Built seamless authentication using Solana-powered decentralized IDs
- •Designed a mobile-first interface showing setup, negotiation, and real-time charging states
- •Demonstrated transparent pricing, match scores, and optimized charging plans
